cover (10)Transforming Human Awareness: Buddhist View of 2012 and Beyond

Once again, Juna reminds us that even though change may be difficult to accept, it remains to be the foundation of human adventures that inspire innovation and motivation from the challenges it creates.

As December 21, 2012 approached, making the end of the ancient Aztec calendar, people were anxiously anticipating a great change in the world. Anthropologists, archeologists, and others in the scientific community gathered the facts and systematically laid them out in a slew of written articles and books. Others took to the radio waves, started Internet blogs, and interviewed on television talk shows to share their professional opinions on the subject. Then, a refreshing wave of remarkable jubilation and elevated awareness filtered throughout the world.

The astounding insight and enlightened inspiration that manifested at the annual reunion of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, composed of various expert spokespersons of international groups representing the humanistic mindset of their faith, grace the pages of this book to reveal the profound complexities of human life and its impact on the environment. By sharing their elevated views amidst sparkling humor, a fresh new revelation is revealed of the human revolution that has begun to take place.

cover (11)Muck Blossoms: A Healing Journey on the Path of Truth

Muck Blossoms by Juna Jinsei, Ph.D., is an inspiring tale that depicts the struggle to survive on a ranch built from the sweat and blood required to tame the wilderness in the 1870s.  Though it was a simpler time, which would allow pleasant social graces, harmonizing with the beauty of nature, and enjoying quality peace of mind, it was also a period of lawlessness and personal hardship that trampled independent thinking from the aspiring expectations of second class citizens.

Kathleen is a girl who learns as she transforms into a woman and raises her family on the wild Wyoming prairie that it is easy to get sucked into the stifling culture that erases one’s individualism and true identity. She becomes aware that one has to learn how to maneuver within the realm of oppression to avoid torture and death. As her family grows she begins to realize her hopes and dreams from a happy childhood can blossom anew from the dust and decay of a broken home. As she faces grave consequences on a daily basis, Kathleen develops the insight to see that it is the struggles, suffering, and obstacles from which her patience, determination, and courage thrive and grow.

Though she is a constant pawn controlled by the evil intent that surrounds her, and attempts made to smother her hopes and desires, Kathleen’s strong will protects her from those who threaten to extinguish the flame of love and joy that reside within her heart. As a prisoner of happenstance, she fights to keep her sanity while protecting her children, until she reaches the point of complete uncertainty of whether or not she and her loved ones will actually survive in the dangerous lair of a beastly maniac.

Naomi’s Way: From Loss to Redemption

Every person will face trials and tribulations—suffering is an inevitable part of life. Whether it’s financial burdens, illness, the death of a loved one, or simply feeling lost and misunderstood in the world, we will all come up against situations that seem unbearable. But everything in each life has been planned by the Lord, and during our most challenging times, we have the opportunity to reaffirm our faith, and continue in service to Him. Naomi’s Way: From Loss to Redemption is a compelling, compassionate testimony from the author’s own life. In the midst of torment, author Gary Riley turned to the Lord, and found in the Bible examples to reassure him that God never leaves His children who are faithful to Him. From Job, who lost everything dear to him but still refused to blame God; to Daniel, whose unwavering belief put him in mortal peril; to Naomi, whose faith was a light to her path when all seemed lost…the Bible provides loving guidance in the darkest times. “Naomi’s Way” will uplift you and show you how to manage hardships in a way that is pleasing to God.

Only a Soldier Understands: A Military Devotional and Bible Study for Warriors with a Story – Book 3: First Duty Assignment

This book is personal. And it’s about you. Nobody understands what it feels like to be a soldier except another soldier. It’s about your family back home. It’s about trying to gain respect. It’s about achieving something important after feeling like a failure. It’s about living far from home and feeling lonely. It’s about discovering women. It’s about good and bad bosses. It’s about successes and failures, excitement and frustration. Sound like you yet? And the book will bring back memories. I’ll share my story while you reflect upon your own. In fact, it will draw you back to your childhood, and spur visions of your future. No soldier’s story is dull if you have a sense of humor. And you’ll laugh at my story as well as your own as we quickly turn the pages together. It’s an easy read, too. Stories of my life in the military are a quick, two-page read for the most part. I follow up with a few questions directed to you about your own story. That’s why sometimes a bunch of guys might get together over lunch and read some of these together. It gets you laughing and sharing about your own journey down the road.

Only a Soldier Understands: Book 5: Lessons I Learned in the Army

Clay Lifto knows what it’s like to be a soldier – not the great hero, but an ordinary guy performing his duty, raising his family and trying to live the Christian life. In this 5th book in his series, Only A Soldier Understands, he becomes a bit reflective in his personal story as he shares some life lessons he learned as he enters the Army a second time. He branches out into a new phase of his military experience, past the Middle East, past Vietnam, and into the spy games of the European Cold War. As the chapters of Clay’s life continue, he shares amazing things that can happen in a soldier’s life when he makes a commitment. Not a lecture, not a Bible study, just a personal story of God’s grace. Clay explores not only the physical realities of deployment, but also the emotional and psychological growth and challenges that come from experiences ranging from finding the woman of his life to frustrations with civilian life to the relationship with his family back home to breaking up with his wife to surrendering to the truth about himself and his own life to getting into a job far over his head to finding his true calling in life. As Clay’s stories bring back memories of your own experience, each chapter ends with a reflection of a major lesson in life that he learned – maybe a lesson you could apply to your own personal journey in life. The Only a Soldier Understands series is for the new recruit, the career soldier, and the veteran.
