Outskirts Press: Tell us a little bit about CRANIOSACRALQIGONG Volume 1. What is it about?
Cloe: In seeking help for her son, diagnosed at four years old with DMD, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an incurable illness that came with the prognosis of a shortened life, Dr. Cloe Couturier ventured to deploy means that would transmute this outcome.
In this multidimensional signature story, the author modifies her blog into empirical evidence of the emergence and the birthing of CranioSacralQigong® as a new modality, in its own evolutionary process.
Through the combined practices of both Craniosacral work and Medical Qigong, a new approach to integrated natural wellness and holistic medicine has evolved over many years.
This model encompasses blending some of the most ancient Eastern models, medical Qigong, with the cutting edge of the evolution of Western medicine, Craniosacral work.
All the schools of craniosacral work will benefit from these teachings. Dr. Cloe has embraced, updated, and upgraded the Upledger Craniosacral model of Craniosacral work because she was privileged to be working right next to Dr. John Upledger for many years.
Indeed, world-renowned osteopath Dr. John Upledger, DO, OMM (1932-2012) invited Dr. Cloe Couturier to work by his side, at his clinic in Palm Beach County, Florida, in 1995, where she practiced for 24 years. She then moved a few blocks away to establish the next edge of Craniosacral work into CranioSacralQigong®.
Her approach to Craniosacral work started as a biodynamic osteopath and evolved into blending Upledger Craniosacral work with medical Qigong into what she continues to develop, CranioSacralQigong®.
“This book represents a pivot in the evolution of the awakening of human consciousness, evolving from my personal and professional lives. It is a vector because it carries an energy trajectory that manifests as a living transmission once aligned. Following the valuable lineages of thousands of years of transmission, I have been a worthy student as I have put what my teachers taught me into practice, and it has carried its fruits.” —Dr. Cloe Couturier, DMQ
CranioSacralQigong® has emerged as a new modality in its evolutionary process.
In honor and as a following of these revered lineages, Dr. Couturier invites the next generation of thirsty students to discover some of the most potent consciousness pathways one can establish in all dimensions of their lives through the teachings and practice of CranioSacralQigong®.
Despite being dealt some of the most challenging cards, the progression of her choices granted Dr. Couturier some of the most successful manifestations one can achieve in life, personally and professionally, and in her practice. This book is an invitation for students who will feel worthy of learning and get empowered by a master.
“I am already mighty proud of all my current students and how well they are learning and evolving in all aspects of their lives, both personally and professionally. I am looking forward to the new ones that will also choose to study with me. “Dr. Cloe Couturier, DMQ
When the rules of Qigong passed on diligently for thousands of years from worthy masters to worthy students are appropriately followed, one develops and embodies pathways to consciousness power. By combining Craniosacral work at its osteopathic root, with medical Qigong, Dr. Cloe Couturier demonstrates how a spontaneous update and an upgrade to each modality have merged into a biodynamic approach to health, wellness, and healing.
It is about the spontaneous development of a new form of health, fitness, and healing, and how I came to develop CranioSacralQigong®. It is the blending of two of the most powerful approaches of health and healing, and the merging of eastern and western medicine, medical Qigong craniosacral osteopathy.
It started in 1994 when I received both teachings at the same time, as an osteopath, and it has evolved ever since.
There were actually other aspects to this before, since I had been awaken to this understanding by different other components, which are narrated in the book
This is all documented in scientific organizations.
World Congress on Qigong where I presented on the combination of CST and Qigong matter in 1997. I was the pioneer to plant my flag in 1997 as no one had ever correlated the two means of natural medicine up to this point in time.
2003 International Conference, Beyond the Dura, the Craniosacral conference ny treacher, John Upledger had started and where he invited me to present. He also was practicing Chinese energetic medicine, he used acupuncture needles often as part of his tool kit.
Outskirts Press: Why did you decide to write this story?
Cloe: I had written a blog since 2009, and progressively as I continued to evolve my work with craniosacral and with qigong, and after writing my dissertation, I realized the evidence that a new modality, which I named CranioSacralQigong®, had emerged. It is not just Craniosacral and it is not just Qigong anymore. It is the combination of these two modalities of self-care and self-healing; combining teachings and paradigms from the east and the west that has merged into one. I have become the developer of this new modality and it is a major breakthrough in consciousness, which must be shared with the world. I always felt that my clients, students, peers, and colleagues were lacking the proper information to understand the relationship between both craniosacral and medical Qigong and I wanted to share simple information about both, to educate and guide people to embrace this flux of evolution with me.
Outskirts Press: How did you get your book published?
Cloe: I wanted to self-publish and after doing my research, I chose Outskirts Press.
Outskirts Press: What types of readers would be interested in this story?
Cloe: All readers, especially late teens, on, and on. Younger people are very interested in learning this, I see how my students are mostly younger people. 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. They are thirsty students. They understand the value of these old teachings and value them. My book is for people who are interested in practicing Qigong and developing an energy practice.
The practice of Qigong is for self before working on others. Craniosacral therapy does not necessarily require a personal practice. Few people would want to start a practice later in life, although many older folks in China like to practice Tai Chi.
In my book, I explain the difference between Qigong and tai chi. They are similar but not the same practices. To simplify, Qigong is medical, and tai chi is a martial art. CraniosacralQigong® is medical. We work with the inherent self-corrective process and support it. Craniosacral therapy has been evolving in this direction, and the teachers have guided us to develop a relationship with this part of ourselves. Still, there is more to it, a lot more. And unless we practice a valid practice, we cannot quite get in touch with it. We need access to Qi, and to get access to Qi, we must practice a valid practice and be disciplined about it.
“If you don’t practice, it does not exist.” Dr. Cloe Couturier, DMQ
So, it is a discipline, and if you want to develop a good practice that keeps growing you and with you, you’d better know it is valid. It is like an investment, and there are better investments than others. You want the highest yield on your investment, knowing with certainty that you will get plenty of return on this time and the priority you will choose to invest to receive the return. It is a discipline.
After observing other teachings that lack this respected transmission of thousands of years, it appears to be like “apprentice sorcerers,” partially rooted. Teachings not rooted with strong roots won’t grow very strong.
I stand on the shoulders of these teachers who have guided me and helped me grow from these roots and teachings, both from the craniosacral works, starting as an osteopath and with the instructions from the Qigong masters.
The foundation of my book lies in history, science, and legality. CranioSacralQigong® is a safe and sound practice.
I share many case histories from people who have evolved with me and continue to do so over the years. I continue to witness the quality of health and well-being of people who have worked with me over the years. It is astonishing as it keeps evolving, and it feels supernatural.
We must share CraniosSacralQigong® with the world.
People need to know what is possible for their lives.
Outskirts Press: What is special about your book?
Cloe: Like most of the greatest teachers who have evolved health and healing consciousness, there seems to be a story behind this evolutionary process. There is some sort of a catalyst that will lead the practitioner. This lead progressively becomes a path. It is bigger than us, the path takes us, shows us, moves us, the right people come into our lives, the experiences manifest in such ways that we can feel inside that there is more than a common experience. We get to touch the supernatural, it is so much bigger than us, both the person, and the practitioner. We are moved from the inside out with high velocity.
Outskirts Press: What differentiates it from other books in the same category?
Cloe: It is a breakthrough in human consciousness.
I have aligned both the legality and the science in this book, which makes it valid.
There are so many self-help books out there and most are created out of thin air, with great marketing and advertising.
I have always followed teachers who aligned with science and that have a lineage with deep roots underneath them.
These teachings are transmitted from master to students. These teachings are mostly secrets. There are secrets because once you know them, you realize how simple they are, but until you know them, you don’t know how.
I teach the knowhow and I love meeting students where they are at.
Not everybody will receive the same information upon reading my book, it depends on their own evolutionary process.
When the student is ready, the teacher appears. I am a very advanced teacher, yet I can wake anyone to the power of their consciousness when they will read my book as I made it available for anyone to read them. It is an easy read.
Outskirts Press: Have you published any other books? Do you plan to publish more?
Cloe: I am planning on publishing more, this is Vol.2.
Outskirts Press: How can someone learn more about your book or purchase it?
Cloe: They can check my website craniosacralqigong.com where I write more about it.
Outskirts Press: Thanks for your time, Cloe! We look forward to learning more about you as you visit other bloggers!
