Make Summer Reunions Special with the Outskirts Press Memoir Kit!

Outskirts Press is excited to celebrate the annual “Memoir Month” throughout July – and we want you to celebrate with us!

One of the most valuable pieces of literature can be a person’s own story – touching recollections and valuable personal history they pass down to future generations. For the remainder of July, we want our self-publishing writers to share their life experiences and be able to pass their stories on to future generations of their families.

The Memoir Writing Kit from Outskirts Press offers 140 pages of memory-provoking questions to help inspire the writer. All the writer has to do is answer the questions in complete sentences, remove the questions themselves, and the memoir practically writes itself!

Everyone’s life experience is unique. The beauty of the Memoir Writing Kit is that it is flexible and comprehensive enough to help any writer start and complete their memoirs, no matter what sort of life they have led. The writer can simply delete sections that don’t apply to them or add details and stories that do. The structure is roughly chronological, beginning with “The Dawn of Life” and ending with “The Sunset.” The years between are organized by similarly themed chapters, ranging from “Childhood Holidays and Celebrations” to “Serving My Country” to “A Taste for Life.”

Get an up-close look at how the Memoir Writing Kit from Outskirts Press actually works, throughout the month of July. Each day, we’ll post questions from the kit on the Outskirts Press Facebook page. Feel free to chime in with your memories as they relate to these questions, and get an insider’s glimpse of the memoir-writing process!

  1. Do you still have Martha Cochrane’s book of poems about her Mother’s dying ?

I would like to buy a copy and have it sent to a friend, whose Mother is dying.

    Sincerely,
    Lisa Cosman
