Guaranteed to improve your writing scores
This book takes the learner through sentence building, paragraphing, constructive responses, and essay writing. Students will experience repeated exposure to explicit instruction that focuses on continuous, constructive feedback. Over time, students will be able to recognize grammar errors and develop the skill to edit such mistakes. Furthermore, students can improve collaboration skills through sharing quality writing with peers. Vocabulary instruction is implemented with each lesson that allows students to make meaningful and lasting connections with words. Graphic organizers and checklists are provided for the educator to bridge what students do not know to what they need to master. The journal writing in this book embeds the Common Core Standards to develop the writing skills of college-ready students. Not only do the lessons align with college and work expectations, but each lesson includes rigorous content and application of knowledge through high-order skills.
