Outskirts Press increases support of self-publishing writers with new Director of Author Services

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Outskirts Press, the fastest-growing full-service self-publishing company, puts new Director in place to further support authors before publication.

In an ongoing effort to be the only full-service self-publishing service provider to offer support and assistance to authors before, during, and after publication, Karl Schroeder has contracted with Outskirts Press to be their Director of New Author Services.

Under Karl’s direction, the Department of New Author Services will continue to offer growing levels of support for authors who are considering writing a book, currently writing a book, or have finished writing and are now contemplating all their publishing options.

“As an author himself, Karl understands the level of service and support involved in writing, producing, and publishing books at the highest level,” Outskirts Press CEO Brent Sampson stated. “Outskirts Press is excited to bring his experience and dedication to the Author Services Department.”

In the coming months, under Karl’s direction, Outskirts Press plans to launch several progressive new initiatives, including a more comprehensive book evaluation service that includes a sample edit of the author’s manuscript to truly communicate the benefit of editing to new authors.

Karl graduated from Northwestern College in 1998 and, along with the majority of the Outskirts Press executive team, focused on English during his collegiate years.  He holds a B.A. in Creative Writing and a minor in English. He brings over 3 years experience in the self-publishing industry, ranging from production and design to book publication management.  Karl is also the co-author of a self-publishing advice blog at http://selfpublishingadvice.wordpress.com .
