B. Michael (Mike) Thorne is a retired academic psychologist with a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from LSU. He spent nearly four decades at Mississippi State University before shifting focus to his passion for writing. Thorne has published short stories, textbooks, and crime fiction novels, including the psychological thriller Murder in Memory. Outside of writing, he has contributed more than 1,000 articles to numismatic publications and enjoys cars, cooking, movies, British TV, and time with his family in Mississippi.
