Space Gamble Volume 2: WarSpace Gamble Volume 2: War
Captain Donald Murray is a sixty-nine-year-old black male and the Captain of the SS King David. Captain Murray was born and raised in California and studied at numerous colleges before entering into the Western Empire’s space fleet. He was recruited by the Terran Tribune to explore deep space through the command of their newest science vessel. The only requirement Donald Murray insisted on was that he choose his own senior staff. The Terran Tribune agreed, provided that their new vessel was accompanied by a squad of marines, with the Solar Council’s approval. After several deep space missions, Captain Murray received new orders: Explore the unknown on the other side of the worm hole designated WH-12. However, Captain Murray decided to stop at the well-known wagering station Neptune One for some rest and relaxation before proceeding with his orders. His interest in the Mech fights and Grav Ball games grew over the years. He also granted his First Officer, Commander Hui Yan Li’s request for shore leave. The young Chinese woman was anxious to visit her twin sister Pastor Huiling Li before starting a mission that could last a lifetime. The patrons of Neptune One grew excited as Donald Murray announced the mission and intent of the Terran Tribune; they continued to grow more excited as he explained the garbled communications from the previous stealth droids that entered the wormhole and the presence of another habitable planet on the other side. Operator Kennith Jackson Furgis, sole proprietor of the wagering station Neptune One watched as the SS King David slowly moved away from his station to embark on their journey into the unknown. He wondered how it felt to become the first captain to explore beyond their own solar system.

Snapshots of ChristSnapshots of Christ: in Sermons

Generally speaking, a book of sermons holds little value to the busy pastor. I have many such books in my library, yet few of these books hold any great insights. I present these sermons to be different from what you have seen before.Of the thousands of times I have preached, some were so different that they could not be of the same level, so I separated them over the years. I do not mean they were the most exciting to hear, I mean that they were the most profound as to the scripture of truth. I was often stunned by the truth that I had stumbled upon.I present them to you, hoping that you, too, can see what I saw and convey that truth to your hearers. The result will be a gasp from your congregation and a joy in your spirit that you had given something that your people would not soon forget. This collection of sermons are some of what I call the greatest I have ever preached out of 7500, these are the first 52 that made me stop and look again at what I had found. May you do so as well. You can add to them insights from your own experience and studies and make them yours. I would ask of you that use them this one thing: Do not give me credit for having wrote them because in truth, I have received so much if not all I preach from those that I listened to and read over the years. I cannot remember all the names of those that I owe so much. In truth, maybe I did not receive one thing on my own. You must judge them for yourselves.

Snapshots of Christ In Isaiah: Volume 1Snapshots of Christ In Isaiah

This book will turn on a bright light as you see the book of Isaiah with Christ at its center. If you are a pastor, teacher, or preacher hundreds of diamonds await you to pick up and expound on them. To the young ministers of third world countries, this book was written specifically for you to open your eyes to the seed truths in Isaiah of Christ and their fulfillment in the New Testament. The greater knowledge you have of the Scriptures, the greater will you see in these snapshots. As the author, I assume your knowledge is wide in the Scriptures and have made the subjects quick and to the point, waiting only for your hand to expound on it for your hearers. You hold in your hand much of the results of my quest in searching for Christ in the Scriptures. His snapshots are in every book of the Bible waiting for you to behold his face. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:27)

Who Do Men Say I AM?Who Do Men Say I Am?

Every group that declares Christ to be their ruler and leader sees Christ Jesus in a slightly different light. Sometimes it is the Christ of historical Christianity or to concepts taken from a variety of sources. Some will be images of this prophet or founder while others come from science fiction or even imagination. My purpose in writing this book is not to inspire hate, distrust, or rejection but rather to open your eyes that you may evaluate who is the Christ that you follow. I encourage each reader to go back to the Scriptures and discover again the real face of Jesus the Christ as seen in the prophets and the gospels. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, (Luke 24:44-45)

Snapshots Out of the Mouth Of Christ: An In Depth Study of ChristologySnapshots Out of the Mouth Of Christ

After returning from three years in Western Samoa as director of a Missionary Training Center, I realized the great need among my students. I had greatly desired to write this book on insights during the Church Age that my students could easily grasp one point at a time. The sickness that I carried home would weaken me to the point that I could only have strength for a few hours a day; yet it would not be my strength that would fail me; rather the magnitude of a book on such a subject. More than one time I dropped my pen from my hand as I staggered in unbelief that the task I had taken on was more than I had the ability to complete. This book will turn on a bright light as you see Matthew with the Church Age at its center. If you are a pastor, teacher, or preacher hundreds of diamonds await you to pick up and expound on them. To the young ministers in third world countries, this book was written specifically for you to open your eyes to the mighty truths in Matthew and their fulfillment in the Church Age. The great insights of Christ are seen here in a page or two so pastors and teachers will be able to grasp and comprehend these great truths. The greater knowledge you have of the Scriptures, the greater you will see in these snapshots. I, as the Author, assume your knowledge is wide in the Scriptures and have made the subject quick and to the point, waiting only for your hand to expound on it for your hearers. If the reader faces teaching that they do not understand or do not believe based on their church background, I encourage you to put it aside and go on. My background of a Baptist and Spirit-filled movements of course affected my writing, and I have tried to make it clear when it did so. No effort was made to try and slide any issue in this book in disguise. I pray you will see my sincere desire to give the reader a real comprehension of the Church Age from the cross to His return. My wife, Odena, taught beside me in the school, typed incessantly, proof-read, and corrected endlessly. Without her knowledge and commitment to the same goal, this book would never have seen the light of the publisher’s office.

Snapshots of ChristSnapshots of Christ: In an Ordinary Life

As you read these pages, you will walk with us in the life we lived over a fifty year period. Only those times when we knew that the Holy Spirit had dealt with us, spoken to us, or sent an angel are included. We knew that He had always been with us since the word says: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matt. 28:20) These were the times when God seemingly intervened in our life in a manner that made us to know that His presence and power were with us through every struggle of life. We lived a life of prayer, fasting, reading the Scriptures, and receiving help and deliverance from angelic ministry. Our lives may seem extraordinary to any reader who reads these experiences, yet what we lived and experienced was only what the ordinary Christian who seeks after God will experience.

Snapshots of Christ in 1st KingsSnapshots of Christ in 1st Kings

This book will turn on a bright light as you see 1 Kings with Christ at its center. If you are a pastor, teacher, or preacher hundreds of diamonds await you to pick up and expound on them. To the young ministers in third world countries, this book was written specifically for you to open your eyes to the seed truths in Exodus of Christ and their fulfillment in the New Testament. The greater knowledge you have of the Scriptures, the greater will you see in these snapshots. Author Cordell W. Mitchell assumes your knowledge is wide and has made the subject quick and to the point, waiting only for your hand to expound on it for your hearers. You hold in your hand much of the results of Mitchell’s quest in searching for Christ in the Scriptures. His snapshots are in every book of the Bible waiting for you to behold His face. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:27)

Snapshots of Christ In DoctrinesSnapshots of Christ In Doctrines

The great doctrines of the Christian faith are here in a page or two so pastors and teachers of third world countries will be able to grasp and comprehend the great doctrines of the Christian faith. Each of the twelve major doctrines will be cut up into easily digestible parts. Most of these will apply to any Christian Church. If they are controversial I have tried to point that out as to who accepted or rejected that stand and why. If the reader faces a doctrine they do not understand or do not believe based on their church background, I have encouraged them to put it aside and go on to grasp the totality of the concept. You will soon realize that you indeed grasp the total doctrine, with almost 400 points of doctrine cut into small parts of the twelve major Christian doctrines. My own background of Baptist and Spirit-filled movement of course affected my writing and I have tried to make it clear when it did so. No effort was made to try and slide any doctrine into this book in disguise. I pray you will see my sincere desire to give the reader a real comprehension of the Doctrines of the Christian Faith.
