Luckily for us, Earle was kind enough to answer a few questions before the tour starts so that we can give you a sneak peek into the mind of the creator of Said the Spider.

Said the Spider

OP: Tell us a little bit about Said the Spider. What is it about?

EVG: Sophisticated crime syndicate parasites invade the normally solid foundation of Midwestern banking and generations of established manufacturing.  Executives and management usually in control suddenly find they are masterfully manipulated into a web of irreconcilable personal and financial seduction.

From the traumatic discovery at the river’s edge to the eventual confrontational conclusion Said The Spider seduces greedy, gullible and unsuspecting prey into a deadly and graphic whirlwind of corporate disaster leading to murder, suicide and revenge.

OP: Why did you decide to write this story?

EVG: I have more than forty (40) years of experience with corporate (white collar crime) investigations beginning with the street work of corporate investigations and undercover operations to owning my own white collar crime investigative corporation for 20 years prior to my retirement.  My client base was made up of major corporations and government entities as they sought my expertise with the resolution of a vast array of fraud, undercover and criminal cases.

Friends and associates had encouraged me for years to share my experiences during the almost forty years of criminal and corporate investigative activity.  Upon retirement I finally had time to recall and to fictionalize some of those recollections into Said The Spider and two (2) other yet to be published novels.

OP: What types of readers would be interested in this story?

EVG: It was not targeted to a specific audience or reader but rather to anyone who enjoys a novel filled with adventure and intrigue based on fictionalized real life experiences of white collar crime and undercover operations and the people involved on both sides – the good and the not-so-good.

OP: What is special about your book?  What differentiates it from other books in the same category?

EVG: I didn’t have to search my imagination for the story.  I actually lived the life of the investigator and agency chief who directed and participated in the theory and dynamic of solving crime.  Said The Spider is a conglomeration of people, places and events encountered during my many years of investigative experiences.

OP: Thanks for your time, Earle! We look forward to learning more about you as you visit other bloggers!
