My Identity Christ-Is by S. L. Holliday Virtual Book Tour

As an author in this economy, you have to come up with creative ways to market a self-published book. While book tours are a great way to connect with your readers, they aren’t the most affordable method of promotion. However, technology has made it possible for an alternative.

Take note from self-publishing Outskirts Press author, S.L. Holliday, who is taking her latest book, My Identity Christ-is, on tour – a virtual book tour, that is. She will be featured on several blogs over the weeks and months ahead so keep your eyes peeled to learn more about her and her book.

Luckily for us, S.L. Holliday was kind enough to answer a few questions as the tour was getting started so that we can give you a sneak peek into the mind of the creator of My Identity Christ-is.

OP: Tell us a little bit about My Identity Christ-is. What is it about?

SLH: The series in general is aimed towards showing its readers that one’s true identity is found in Christ Jesus. The first book of the series “Stay In the Game”, is about using God’s Word to persevere and endure when things seem tough.

OP: Why did you decide to write this story?

SLH: Well, I’ve always loved children and wanted to create a way to teach them the Word of God in a way they can understand, and be entertained and be enlightened at the same time.

OP: What types of readers would be interested in this story?

SLH: I feel that my book, being in the coming-of-age genre, will greatly relate to tweens (children ages 9-12), as they’re constantly learning, growing, changing, and discovering who they are.

OP: What is special about your book?  What differentiates it from other books in the same category?

SLH: My book not only stands out because of the catchy title, “My Identity Christ-Is”, which  is  and will be the theme (of the series) throughout – that one’s identity is found in Christ Jesus, no matter what the topic (subtitle) is; but it shows them how to apply the Bible to their real situations, and it also stands out because it’s written in a fun and engaging narrative form, in which readers can not just read, but act out like a play!

OP: Have you published any other books? Do you plan to publish more?

SLH: Do you plan to publish more? I have not yet published any other books, but do plan to publish more, as I’m working on making, “My Identity Christ-Is” a series.

OP: Thanks for your time, S.L. Holliday! We look forward to learning more about you as you visit other bloggers!

My Identity Christ-is Author S.L. HollidayABOUT THE AUTHOR:

S.L. Holliday, who has a background in fine art and education has always loved art and has been drawing since she was a child. Ms. Holliday received Jesus into her heart at a young age, but it wasn’t until college, where she got into writing, that she decided to fully dedicate her talents to Him. One day while reading the Bible, she came across the verse, Proverbs 16:3, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed”. In addition to loving art, Ms. Holliday also loves children, and even served as a school teacher. After seeking the Lord on which direction to take, He revealed to her how to combine her love of art and children, using art (through whatever medium) to teach children the Word of God in a way they can understand. That has been her goal ever since!
