As an author in this economy, you have to come up with creative ways to market a self-published book. While book tours are a great way to connect with your readers, they aren’t the most affordable method of promotion. However, technology has made it possible for an alternative.
Take note from self-publishing Outskirts Press author, Paul Bradley, Sr., who is taking his latest book, Restoration of the Heart, on tour – a virtual book tour, that is. He will be featured on several blogs over the weeks and months ahead so keep your eyes peeled to learn more about him and his book.
Luckily for us, Paul was kind enough to answer a few questions as the tour was getting started so that we can give you a sneak peek into the mind of the creator of Restoration of the Heart.
OP: Tell us a little bit about Restoration of the Heart. What is it about?
PB: The book is about finding Freedom and principles that will lead you to find restoration. This book will change people’s lives that are hurting and need true answers.
My book deals with three different conditions of the heart.
1) Section One, The “Controlled Heart”
2) Section Two the “Broken Heart,”
3) Section Three the “Restored Heart,”
OP: Why did you decide to write this story?
PB: I personally had my eyes open to the “Spirit of Control” through three different church experiences. And, I felt that my Lord gave me inspiration to write the book after going through many years of wilderness experiences. I knew that I had to complete the book to give hurting people the answers they needed to find healing and hope.
OP: What types of readers would be interested in this story?
PB: In society today people suffer from worry, depression, and many tormenting habits that control their lives on a daily basis. I believe that people from all walks of life can identify with these issues of the “Heart.” Truly, everyone needs this book and I challenge everyone to read it to find his or her own answers.
OP: What is special about your book? What differentiates it from other books in the same category?
PB: This book has so many scriptural truths that will reveal areas in your heart, and identify things that hold you to your past like fear, anger, bitterness, drug addition, or anything that holds you captive. On a personal note, in the book I share about my own Unforgiving experience. You will have the opportunity not only to discover the answers, but also how to truly receive freedom through God’s word.
OP: Have you published any other books? Do you plan to publish more?
PB: I don’t have others published at this time but I am working on another one already. Yes, I have several other books that I will publish.
