As an author in this economy, you have to come up with creative ways to market a self-published book. While book tours are a great way to connect with your readers, they aren’t the most affordable method of promotion. However, technology has made it possible for an alternative.
Take note from self-publishing Outskirts Press author, Rashid H. Hill, who is taking his latest book, 8 Ways to Be 10 X Better, on tour – a virtual book tour, that is. He will be featured on several blogs over the weeks and months ahead so keep your eyes peeled to learn more about him and his book.
Luckily for us, Rashid was kind enough to answer a few questions as the tour was getting started so that we can give you a sneak peek into the mind of the creator of 8 Ways to Be 10 X Better.
OP: Tell us a little bit about 8 Ways to Be 10 X Better. What is it about?
RHH: My book is like a personal assistant that helps you to locate and unlock your innate capability to high performance. To reveal our limitless abilities as high achievers.
OP: Why did you decide to write this story?
RHH: I wrote this book (8 Ways to be 10x Better) when I was studying Strategic Intervention (advanced life coaching) and was amazed at the value a life coach brings to your life. Based on my international travels and the vast amount of people I’ve met, these life enhancing principles were just what everyone needs to realize their true potential.
OP: What types of readers would be interested in this story?
RHH: My book was written for entrepreneurs in the home based business arena to give them the inspiration to keep going and working toward success and the freedom you seek. Additionally, we found that the book appealed to students going into college as well as graduating from college. These are the primary reading audience.
OP: What is special about your book? What differentiates it from other books in the same category?
RHH: 8 Ways To Be 10x Better is in a genre that has little diversity. Yet, sometimes a principle or technique comes along that surprises the masses after they take a look inside. We have compiled the motivational and empowering inspirational stories and instead of leaving it as a theory and rags-to-riches theme, we lead the reader into an exercise to start the discovery process in the book and then take it online to a web training portal for audio and video explanations of what is written in the book. Unlike many others we give the reader a full sensory experience for long term success.
OP: Have you published any other books? Do you plan to publish more?
RHH: Yes, I have published a couple of e-books. I do have in the works 2 more books along the same theme of the 8 Ways to be 10x Better. Also I’m planning to publish a collection of poems in story form. Yet, my most exciting project is an upcoming “life manifesto” that is untitled yet coming along real well.
OP: Thanks for your time, Rashid! We look forward to learning more about you as you visit other bloggers!
