ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Phillip Ray Simmons, born in Hayworth, Okla., currently resides in Texarkana, Texas, as pastor of Deliverance Temple Ministry for the past 25 years. In 1977, he attended Murray State College in Oklahoma. In 2005 he graduated from Faith Based Counselor Training Institute, where he received a Master’s Certificate in restorative therapy, complex family issues, crisis chaplain, anger management, chemical dependency, individual and group crisis counseling. His list of achievements continues to grow as he pursues his purpose to help others find life with God and putting into helping his community grow. Recognized for his pastoral and business achievements, he’s founder and CEO of Healing Begins and Counseling Express Counseling Centers, founder and owner of Eat Your Heart Out Restaurant and pastor of Deliverance Temple Ministry. On Oct. 21, 2006, he was presented with a proclamation recognizing his many contributions and achievements by Mayor James W. Bramlett along with the key to the city and designating October 21 as Pastor Phillip Simmons Day. In 2008, U.S. Congressman Ralph M. Hall requested a flag flown across the state capitol in honor of Rev. Phillip Simmons 20 years’ dedicated service in his ministry. In 2009, State Rep. Stephen Frost, gave a resolution regarding the celebration of his 21 years as a dedicated pastor and a flag was flown in recognition of this occasion. Today, Pastor Phillip Simmons continues his calling to minister the Word of God and to extend the Gospel all over the World by way of publishing reading material such as books.
