Independent Bookstore Day Moves to Aug. 29

We are so happy to announce that at least one of the many complications to your life posed by COVID-19, involving one of the most important events on the calendar for self-publishing authors, has at last been solved. Independent Bookstore Day, which had to delay due to restrictions and the inability of many vendors and presenters to travel during the international shutdown, will now take place on August 29th of this year.

The last few weeks have given event planners time to learn and organize within a new format, and as a result they will be carrying out a big social media “push” in the lead-up to the event’s original date of April 25th, so make sure to take part online if you’re able! The American Booksellers Association notes that “booksellers are invited to celebrate virtually during the week of April 19–25 using the hashtag #VirtualBookstoreParty,” and they offer a number of other suggestions for authors and booksellers alike to take advantage of both now and in August.

Until then, we look forward to interacting with you online!
