Pinterest Book Marketing for Self-Publishing Authors: David N. Jolly

Outskirts Press is now helping veteran authors like David N. Jolly take advantage of the power of Pinterest to promote their books smartly and stylishly to millions of potential readers. Every month Outskirts Press will be adding a new Board on Pinterest to feature a prolific author, just like this month’s featured author, David Jolly.

Pinterest describes itself as “a tool for collecting and organizing things you love.” And, man, is it ever loved! In fact, by March 2012, Experian Hotwise declared the site to be the third largest social network in the United States, right behind Facebook and Twitter. Now Outskirts Press authors can take advantage of this growing promotional channel to earn additional exposure for their books and their author platform.

David N. JollyOutskirts Press has created an exclusive David N. Jolly Pinterest Board just for David, where he can display all his books (11 to date, and counting) and tell potential buyers a little about each of them and about himself. Initial pins include full-color book cover images and a color photo of the prolific author himself, making his author platform virtually “real” to the site’s millions of viewers. This, in turn, helps David become even more well-known as Pinterest users “pin” his books to their own boards, spreading his work and words to their own followers.

David Jolly is a Washington State attorney whose practice emphasizes DUI defense. His legal career began as a prosecuting attorney and in nearly four years as a prosecutor he never lost a DUI trial. He is a graduate of the University of Calgary and received his Law Degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law where he was the Graduating Class Speaker. He is married to Janean and they have one son, Christopher. Jolly is the author of multiple legal books including The Personal Injury Handbook and The Car Accident Injury Handbook.

Outskirts Press is proud to note that Jolly has teamed with us for nearly a dozen books now, all of which are on display on his Pinterest board. Pay him a virtual visit on Pinterest, follow him, and share pins of his books with friends or family who might benefit from his insights.
