Terry Huntingdon Tydings is self-publishing a book with Outskirts Press. And she wants your help deciding her book cover.
Book Summary
About to graduate from Mount Shasta High School, my college advisor insisted that I had been “a big fish in a small town” and would be “chewed up and spit out” if I chose UCLA. Hard of hearing, as all teenagers seem to be when it comes to advice, I withdrew my savings, applied for scholarships and ran down my dreams. Several months into my freshman year, a photographer from Look Magazine encouraged me to enter the Miss California Pageant. A few months after that, I was crowned. Three weeks later, I became Miss United States of America and, two nights after that, I stood beside Akiko Kojima, Miss Universe, as her 2nd Runner-Up, holding the trophy that I had been awarded for delivering the best speech.
