This book was written to give a historical account of how Bourg, Louisiana was established. Author Bio:
Adrian P. Matherne was born and raised in the community of Bourg, Louisiana and served as its Postmaster from 1993 until he retired in 2002; with thirty-seven years of postal service. He collected pictures and information for thirty-seven years and has compiled it into this book to serve as a history of the Bourg community. He currently lives in the Bourg with his wife Cheryl and has a son living in Virginia.
