You’re right. That can be very frustrating.
I’m sure there is a workaround for this.
Are you trying to post only your cover image or your page.
If you’re wanting to post only your image, you would use
http://outskirtspress.com/TierraRed/cover.jpg
If you want the book to show up, you would use:
http://outskirtspress.com/TierraRed
Either route you take, you should be able to select a thumbnail before you submit your post to select the image in case it isn’t showing.
Let me know if that doesn’t fix the issue.
