The Fictitian by Linda Griffith Virtual Book Tour

As an author in this economy, you have to come up with creative ways to market a self-published book. While book tours are a great way to connect with your readers, they aren’t the most affordable method of promotion. However, technology has made it possible for an alternative.

Take note from self-publishing Outskirts Press author, Linda Griffith, who is taking his latest book, The Fictitian, on tour – a virtual book tour, that is. He will be featured on several blogs over the weeks and months ahead so keep your eyes peeled to learn more about him and his book.

Luckily for us, J.C. was kind enough to answer a few questions as the tour was getting started so that we can give you a sneak peek into the mind of the creator of The Fictitian.

OP: Tell us a little bit about The Fictitian. What is it about?

LG: There are 8 short stories in my book that came from whispered tales from my family during family gatherings and stories that total strangers told me during the time I was a street cop on the streets of Chicago.

OP: Why did you decide to write this story?

LG: I have been writing and collecting stories all of my life and I always said that I would get them published after I retired. I retired in May of 2013.

OP: What types of readers would be interested in this story?

LG: Anyone who likes reading short stories will love my book. The stories are gripping and gritty.

OP: What is special about your book?  What differentiates it from other books in the same category?

LG: The stories in my book are written to make the reader feel as if they are in the story with the characters.

OP: Have you published any other books? Do you plan to publish more?

LG: I published a book of poems in 2000. I am editing my second book of short stories now. They should be completed by late 2014.

OP: Thanks for your time, J.C.! We look forward to learning more about you as you visit other bloggers!
