Publishing a book allows you to share your story. Now, Outskirts Press authors can grab their video cameras or video-enabled smartphones and expand upon their artistic creativity this Thanksgiving by recording a 1-3 minute video that “gives thanks” for being a published author.

Even if an author doesn’t win the grand prize, they will receive a free e-book of Outskirts Press CEO Brent Sampson’s Amazon bestseller, Sell Your Book on Amazon.”
Authors who record a brief video – between 1 – 3 minutes in length – that creatively shows why they are thankful for publishing with Outskirts Press will be eligible for finalist consideration. All video files should be sent to givethanks@outskirtspress.com and shared on Facebook or uploaded to YouTube by midnight on November 23rd***.
Among all the entries received, Outskirts Press will choose three finalists based in part on the number of comments/likes received on social media channels for the shared videos. The three finalists are at the ultimate discretion of Outskirts Press and will be showcased in a blog post at http://www.selfpublishingnews.com in which everyone will be invited to vote for the winner in a public poll.
Authors who submit a video should make sure all their family and friends press the “Thumbs Up” button on Facebook and/or YouTube and vote for their videos if they are selected for the final poll.

You say that the date was changed from the original published date with regard to the date of submission and also the date the winner will be announced. What dates are the actual dates? Also, I need to know if you received my video. How do I find out?
