Although the deadline for the 2012 BEA event has passed, and the London Book Fair was held last week, there’s still time to get valuable exposure at two other very well-attended international fairs this year (or sign up to send your book jet-setting on a whirlwind world tour in 2013 – but more on that later.)

Beijing
China is burgeoning in the publishing world marketplace, presenting an enormous opportunity for writers around the globe seeking to expand their books’ consumer appeal. Publishers catering to the Chinese market are scrambling to feed a growing hunger for translations of all types of books. Outskirts Press is assisting authors who wish to tap into the enormous potential by reserving display space at this exciting event through Outskirts Press.

Frankfurt
Imagine getting your book before more than 250,000 ravenous readers and industry insiders. The Frankfurt Book Fair is the largest publishing industry event in the world. Foreign rights sales and distribution beyond the shores of America take center stage at this event. In fact, authors who register through Outskirts Press can expect to reach more than 50 percent more international publishers than at BEA or other fairs.

London
Each spring this event brings together more than 23,000 publishing professionals from every point in the publishing supply chain. The largest publishing industry event of its kind in the UK, and widely regarded as the most important, the London Book Fair is the ideal place to make a connection with industry professionals, including acquisitions agents, editors and those who are interested in international rights. The London Book Fair is held every year in April and Outskirts Press is making a showing again this year. Mark your calendar to register for the 2013 event.

United States — BEA
One of the largest of these events, the Book Expo America (BEA) trade show in New York City, attracts more than 100,000 international authors, publishers, agents and buyers and 2,000-plus media personnel from around the world. America’s largest writing/publishing trade show and event, takes place in the last week of May each year. While the attendance is international, the focus is distinctly American, with American books, publishers and authors receiving the main interest. It’s the perfect place to let your book shine, with help from Outskirts Press.

Global Book Tour
Why choose just one fair when you can easily get worldwide book exposure before hundreds of thousands of the world’s most prominent publishing movers and shakers, ravenous readers and opinion-shapers at all four major events? By registering for all four in one fell swoop through Outskirts Press, you’ll not only secure your spot in four of the most influential industry events but you’ll get that exposure at a discounted rate.

Exhibiting your book internationally through Outskirts Press means your book receives valuable, face-out exposure on an exclusive shelf with four other titles. A representative is on hand to personally answer event attendees’ questions about your book. Plus, interested parties such as agents, publishers and buyers can make further contact, during or after the fair. All inquiries about your book are forwarded directly to you for personal follow-up in a post-show wrap-up.
