An African Tale, is a rich story for children that opens them to the world of Africa; a world of extremes, drought, floods, beauty, devastation, vibrant life and miserable death. The tale begins with a history of how the Okavango Delta in Botswana was formed when the people were still hunter-gatherers and food and water were scarce. A waterfinder of the time finds a magical stone in the shape of a diamond, which enables him to produce rain whenever needed. He becomes a semi god with eternal life and lives into modern times when belief in gods starts to fade and so does he. He leaves the stone with the prophecy that there will be two children born born at the same time, one from a rural village and the other from the urban city center who will together through cooperation be able to harness mythical power of the magical stone. |
