Beijing Book Fair for Self Publishing Writers

Welcome to Beijing!

Beijing, China is the center of the Asian book business. The Beijing Book Fair traditionally takes place the first weekend of September. Due to the Olympic Games, the 2008 Beijing Book fair actually took place in Tianjin, which is about 80 miles south of Beijing. Nevertheless, many attendees spent literally hours going through the Outskirts Press titles on display and cross referencing the books on the shelves with the listings in the catalogs that were handed out by the thousands to the buyers, editors, agents, and attendees of the shows.

No other country has experienced the increase that China has on the world marketplace, and the readership in China represents an enormous opportunity (and gap that needs to be filled) for translations and publishers seeking to feed the frenzy. There is surging consumer demand for all types of books.
Co-Op bookshelf displays allow you to secure premium, “face out” exposure in a high traffic area for a fraction of what it would cost to attend personally. Your book will receive valuable, face-out exposure on an exclusive shelf with 4 other Outskirts Press titles and a representative will be on-hand to personally answer questions about your book. Outskirts Press will provide the necessary copies of the book and all the necessary contact information for both the author and publisher, so interested parties can make further contact, during or after the fair. All inquiries Outskirts Press receives about your book will be forwarded directly to you for personal follow-up.

Space is limited and is available in limited quantities on a first-come, first served basis. Save 25% on 4 major book events throughout the year (London, BEA, Beijing, Frankfurt) with our Global Book Tour marketing package.
